Return to your Cairo/Giza hotel. We will pick you up from your accommodation after breakfast and begin our tour of Islamic medieval Cairo. Visit the Ibn Tulun Mosque and the Gayer Anderson Museum.

After lunch, we will continue our guided tour of Islamic medieval Cairo, seeing the fortified gates of the ancient city, the northern old wall, the old mosques, and El-Muez Street. If interested, proceed to the Khan El-Khalili tourist mart for a brief shopping trip. Continue our walking tour to El-Ghoriya and view the Zwailia gate of the ancient town, then stroll to Al-Khayamia (tentmakers) and enjoy a well-deserved cup of Egyptian tea at a local coffee shop. We then return to the northern wall and board our private air-conditioned transport to return to the hotel.

First stop: Time: 8:00 am: Ibn Tulun Mosque & Gayer Anderson Museum: Ibn Tulun is the third oldest mosque in Egypt, it is also the biggest in size. Gayer Anderson was the private physician of King Farouk, his house (which belongs to the government) was switched into a museum.
