The Pyramids of Giza Complex
The complex consists of three major pyramids, Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus, as well as six smaller pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. The structure dates from 2400 B.C. when it was built by the 4th dynasty.
The Great Pyramid of Giza
The Great Pyramid, which belonged to King Khufu, is the oldest and biggest of the three pyramids on the Giza plateau, and the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World to have survived intact. The enormous pyramid is 147 meters tall, has 2,300,000 stones in its construction, and took twenty years to complete.
The Great Sphinx of Giza
The Great Sphinx is the world’s biggest statue, measuring 73 meters long, 19 meters broad, and 20 meters tall. It is the earliest monumental sculpture that has been discovered.
The Temple of the Valley
The only surviving granite funerary temple used by Ancient Egyptians for the mummification procedure is located on the Giza plateau. Grab a bite to eat at a local eatery in Cairo. After that, we’ll go to see:
Museum of Egyptology (The Egyptian Museum)
The Egyptian Museum has a remarkable 5000-year-old art collection. Nearly 250,000 real ancient Egyptian items are on display, including an exhibit devoted to King Tutankhamun’s riches, gold, and jewelry, which was kept safe for over 3,500 years in his tomb. Finally, we transfer you to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Luxor, where you will check into a 5* high-luxury hotel for the night.
Day 3: Live Among the Pharaohs’ Treasures
After breakfast, continue your luxury holiday by meeting your own Egyptologist tour guide for a tour of the most prominent Luxor tourist sights, which will include:
The Kings’ Valley
The tombs of King Ramses II and King Tutankhamun may be found here, as well as those of Egypt’s kings from the 18th to the 20th dynasties. The tombs were well-stocked with everything a monarch may want in the afterlife. The majority of the interior décor of the tombs has been beautifully conserved.
The Temple of Hatshepsut
Of all the Ancient Egyptian temples, Hatshepsut’s is one of the most gorgeous and well-preserved. The temple was constructed on three levels, with two large ramps connecting the floors in the center.
Memnon’s Colossi
The only remnants of a full mortuary temple are two huge stone sculptures of pharaoh Amenhotep III. The figures are fashioned from quartzite sandstone blocks found in Cairo and transported 700 kilometers to Luxor. Then go to an island for lunch, so your excursion includes a Nile River boat ride followed by a visit to:
The Temple of Karnak
The Karnak temple is Egypt’s most spectacular site. It is the world’s most massive temple complex. It is the result of several generations of ancient builders and Pharaohs working together. The Temple of Karnak is really three separate temples spread over 247 acres. After a luxurious day in Luxor filled with history and education, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for the night.
Day 4: Explore Edfu And Kom Ombo’s Natural Beauty
Breakfast and check out of the hotel in the morning, then join your private Egyptologist tour guide for a private air-conditioned car trip to Edfu and Kom Ombo temples.
Edfu Temple.
Dedicated to Horus, the Egyptian god. Edfu Temple is Egypt’s best-preserved Greco-Roman temple, with a “Play” depicting Horus’ victory over the wicked deity Seth painted on its walls.
Temple of Kom Ombo
The Nile River is seen from the Kom Ombo Temple. There are two temples with two entrances, two hypostyle halls, and two sanctuaries in this temple. After lunch, proceed to Aswan in your own air-conditioned vehicle to check in at a 5* high-luxury hotel and spend the night.
Day 5: Marvel At The Magnificent Abu Simbel Temples
Breakfast boxes are delivered in the morning, followed by a private air-conditioned vehicle journey to Abu Simbel, where you will meet your private tour guide.
Temples of Abu Simbel
The two Temples of Abu Simbel are regarded as marvels of ancient Egypt because of their distinctive design. The Temples are rock-cut temples that were created during King Ramses II’s reign around 1200 B.C. King Ramses II is honored in one temple, while his loving wife Queen Nefertari is honored in the other. Both temples are adorned with magnificent sculptures and artwork. It is a necessity to explore such a remarkable place, with hand-carved pillars, wall murals, sculptures, statues, and much more. Return to your hotel in Aswan for lunch and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Take In Aswan’s Diversity And Beauty
After breakfast, accompany your Egyptologist tour guide to continue your luxury vacation in Egypt by viewing the top Aswan tourist sites, beginning with:
High Dam of Aswan
It was erected at Aswan, Egypt, across the Nile, between 1960 and 1970, and has had a considerable impact on Egypt’s economy and culture.
The Unfinished Obelisk
Ancient Egypt’s biggest obelisk. It was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) to accompany the Lateran Obelisk (which was initially located at Karnak and then transported to the Lateran Palace in Rome).
Temple of Philae
Philae is a shrine dedicated to Isis, the goddess of beauty and love. As part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign initiative, the temple complex was demolished and transported to neighboring Agilkia Island, safeguarding it and other monuments before the Aswan High Dam was completed in 1970.
