  1. Book with Egypt Fun Tours!!
“In April 2011, my husband and I, after great debate, took a trip to Egypt. Because of the political situation, we decided to book a tour for our time in Cairo and Luxor. We are very happy that we did, since these are two cities that should not be missed.

We researched lots of tour companies and found that Egypt fun tours were very accommodating with our schedule, and seemed to provide the best “bang for our buck”. Once there, unlike most tour companies, we were able to modify our tour on the fly, ensuring that we got the trip that we wanted rather than adhering to someone else’s schedule. For example, our tour guide, Mohammad allowed us the freedom to forgoe seeing a rug making factory and instead, took us to lunch early so we could use the extra time to explore on our own. The tour company was great. Mohammad took us to all the major sites, explained the history and shared his passion of his city. Egypt’s history can be quite overwhelming, but he never overloaded us with too much information, which is an experience we have had in the past with other tour companies.

My husband was very apprehensive of going to Egypt so soon after the revolution. Mohammad picked us up from the Cairo airport and was completely forthright and honest in assessing the recent political situation. We never once felt unsafe on our tour. For example, Mohammad was able to modify our tour dates in case of any protests, steering clear of the centre of Cairo during Friday demonstrations.

Mohammad runs a tight ship, and his team is excellent. For example, I had to urgently call Canada, and instead of looking for a calling card and payphone, our guide insisted on letting me call off of his blackberry, free of charge. If your looking for a tour for Egypt, I highly recommend Egypt fun tours. This was by far the best tour we have taken!

It was great sharing our trip with Mohammad and his team. He took some great photo’s of me and my husband in front of the pyramids, encouraged me to try pigeon (delicious) and made our trip memorable!”
